YouTube and video annotations.

A new technology in YouTube are video Annotations, Video annotations are a new way for you to add interactive commentary onto your videos!

You control what the annotations say, where they appear on the video, and when they appear and disappear. You can even link from an annotation to another YouTube Video, Channel, or Search result.

Samsung

The first good commercial use I've seen with video annotations is the new campaign for Samsung called "Follow your Instinct" next to a nice site they created a viral video campaign based on those annotations where depending on the choice you make you go into another direction in the movie.

You'll find the first one below, never the less if you want to use the annotations you'll have to go to YouTube as they don't work when integrated.

It all started when they created the viral video "Uniting Europe through the spirit of dance." now they launched their Untitled-1according site, the site is nice but what's really makes all the fun are the DJ sets. They got Felix da Housecat, Ferry Corsten and Armand Van Helden with some nice music (if you like the style for sure) and that makes it a must go for me. The only thing that's a pity is that you can download lots of nice things like screen savers or Untitled-2 backgrounds but you can't download the songs and that would make everything really great.

Yesterday evening I received this press release from Thomas Bannister of SX Mobile Media. "Europe United, a new music video from Samsung Mobile and SX Media has launched on Youtube and is the first ever truly democratic music video. Samsung and SX traveled to 10 European cities in 10 days -London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Prague, Barcelona, Ibiza, Moscow, Edinburgh and Galway- to get ordinary people to dance in this street. Whoever made it into the final cut won a free Samsung phone." After viewing the Video, I thought it was really worth wile putting it on my blog, it became a nice project and summarizes perfectly the unity in Europe like they intended to, great work guys. SX Media is a ‘new media’ company, which produces shorter entertainment content.
