After the guy that backflips into his jeans we now got the guy that fills his jeans with Helium and flies, whether it's real or not doesn't really matter but I'm sure that in a few days we will see some other guy's that try to do the same a bit like the backflip viral where you saw numerous people trying the same. I really like the home made viral where you actually don't know from who it is and where the brand isn't really everywhere ... great work from Levis.
Buy now we all know it Spain plays the semi finals in the Euro 2008, but some time ago NikeFootball released this viral on the Spanish football team, it's really a great movie on the magnificent five of the Spanish team.
The combination games and real life has been done before by numerous amount of brands but this one is really original it's created for the Anti-Tobacco lobby of Florida.
They also got some rather funny and original tools like the social community tool Qwitter, a great comic book and a tool called Smokifier which shows the harmfully effects of smoking. The least you can say is that they are really committed to make everybody stop smoking.
Normally the only thing I talk about here is e-marketing but this one is about "architecture", in Belgium you can read everywhere about this new building they are going to create in Dubai, namely the first rotating skyscraper, I must be honest virtually it all looks more than impressive now let's hope that in the real world it's all stable and possible.
Some guy's have all the luck I guess, it's a funny story about a guy that made a trip with his palls, did some stupid things before a camera, put the movie on YouTube and from there on the story began for him. Some serious sponsored traveling time sponsored by a gum brand STRIDEgum. What's also behind all that are the marketing/brand visibility result, on his last video he has more than 13 millions of views, 2500 blog posts and 42000 comments I guess that's more than well spend money for STRIDE gum with a project that at first glance has nothing to do with their business or brand. You can have a look at his adventures on http://www.wherethehellismatt.com/?fbid=BZ72Eq, but first just enjoy this great idea and clips.
His first trip.
His second trip.
A few weeks ago we (the JWT Group in Belgium) created a really nice real 360° campaign for the Philadelphia (Kraft) Brand. I won't explain very much as the movie is self explanatory but it was all created for the 30th anniversary of Philadelphia, for this occasion we created the Divinea event. The outcome of the whole action turned out great and the whole campaign became a real success story.
What's all that about ... ok although I'm not really an apple fan I'm the first person to admit that the iPhone is really somehow a functional marvel with some advantages over most of his competitors and with the new iPhone some of his problems are resolved and of course with a prize drop of 200$ it all becomes a really interesting alternative for my blackberry. So first thing I did after the announcement of Steve Jobs is have a look on the apple site when this would all be "legally" available in Belgium. Yeah, happy happy joy joy, the 11th of July the iPhone becomes available ...
NOOOOT, A few hours later is was all gone no more Belgium in the list (on the .com site you can still have a look that Belgium was in the list).
To whom do we own this great intervention? well I guess as Mobistar(Orange) would be the provider launching the iPhone in Belgium we have to own this to him. I mean why is it again the Belgian Market that has to cope with the delay, if it's possible on any other Market in Europe why not in Belgium???? Anyway at this moment in Belgium we don't know when we can get one and at which price ....
The only thing that rests us here is just enjoy the new commercial :-(
The final movie has been release but whereas the first movie was a means to communicate the second is "only" a trigger to join the conversation and talk about the Inspiration that everybody drives in our line of business. The purpose of the site http://getinspiredhere.net/ is to drive the inspiration for different audiences, going from developers to marketing people and to really grasp and get as much idea's and possibilities in one site. Anyway I'll be following closely those RSS feeds. For now just enjoy the movie which is really again what lives in about every agency.
I found this one on the Viral Video Chart and well worth sharing with you. Is this the first time Hillary Clinton has refused to drop out of a race? Never before seen footage of a Young Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. It's created by the guys from http://www.60frames.com/
Big Buck Bunny tells the story of a giant rabbit with a heart bigger than himself. When one sunny day three rodents rudely harass him, something snaps... and the rabbit ain't no bunny anymore! In the typical cartoon tradition he prepares the nasty rodents a comical revenge.
A few days ago I blogged about the sequel of "Bring the love back"; a video created by an ex colleague of mine Geert Desager. Well apparently his promotional video is almost done and you can already have a look at the trailer below, it sure seems great and right to the point again.
Since a few days I noticed that the Google favorites icon has changed; what's that all about. Personally I think the previous one looked much better, it's a gray/blue 'g' and it's seems as if a first year student created the icon cause it's not even clear.
Why did they do this, why did they change the Icon? Do they want to create some buzz, ...
Personally, I just miss the old one and think they should really go back to it cause the new looks really crappy.
One of my co blogger's gave me this link today he didn't find it interesting enough to put on the blog; but I think it's just a great Commercial and a piece of history. I mean Steve Balmer selling Windows 1.0, I don't think we'll spot him again in such a commercial.
Alka Seltzer against hangover
Yet another one from Common Craft, namely the explanation of Social Media, they did again a great job and used a superb analogy. If you want to have a look at their complete series and believe me, it's well worth it you can have a look at their YouTube Channel.
