Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers together with the guy's from Jackass jumped over a swimming pool filled with snakes. Whether it may be "Hollywood" or not it's a really funny video. Maybe it looks like it's just plain fun but behind it all I'm sure that it's a well thought marketing action from Nike.

About a week ago I received a mysterious package with a USB fan (really nice gift anyway) and a leaflet that invited me to come to the site www.blazenmaar.be which means in English let's blow. So of course I was triggered to have a look at the site.

At first the following viral video kept my attention which tells the story of Nostradamus that visits Brussels around 1545 and that predicts a mysterious wind over Brussels 426 years later on the 18th of October 2008.


For sure this is a marketing action for something that will be launched or will happen in the fall of 2008 but what???

First check the 2 bloggers, Quentin and Gregory, lots of info, twitter pages, mySpace pages, ... but not really any information of use.

Next thing the www.DNS.be, there I noticed that the domain name was bought by Cherry and Cake, an interactive agency from Brussels, which by the way has a pretty funny site (I like the little intro's)

MMMM seems that my battery is almost dead and I forgot to bring my power cord so I'll have to continue my search tomorrow with another post.

For me Lacoste was really a gray, unsexy brand, a strong brand but they didn't invest very much in new things. The following viral and corresponding site changed this view completely. It's all so neatly done, I just love the viral video.

On the site you can do some pretty nice things. things like putting your vision of Tennis in the future on a dynamic wall and it doesn't only put text on the wall it also integrates speech, anyway you'll have to visit to understand.

Now he's busy working on a sequel and if it's as good as its predecessor it will again rock our advertising world. You can follow the evolution of the viral on his blog. I wasn't really a big fan of their previous campaign where you saw a guy sweating like hell. But the clip they created now "Don't Sweat That" featuring Lumidee really kicks ass for a viral/commercial. I think it's really the first time that I saw a brand creating a full sized song. AxeDry The site looks nice but it's all build round the song which is ok if you got such a strong catch. Anyway you got to be fan of RMB/Rap but I really like the tune, so enjoy.

I know quite late but as I gave you a first glance on the foam city commercial from Sony for their Handycam an Cybershot series I couldn't go forward without giving you an update. The first movie is the actual commercial the second one is the making off. As usual what they do is really good but I think the bouncing balls and the paint commercial did set such an high standard which at the moment they didn't really top but still enjoy the marvel.

The Dove evolution concept keeps on getting attention, the first one is a spoof from a Russian dating site, really funny how they took the concept but still completely changed it. The second one is much less funny, Greenpeace created this clip to point out the fact that Unilever the biggest single user of palm oil in the world and the company behind products like Dove is responsible for buying palm oil from companies who are destroying Indonesia's rainforest to grow palm oil.

A month without any (virtual) presence seemed unnatural but still the lack of time forced me into it. Yes the past months I noticed that a day has only 24 hours and when you take the biggest part away to work a little family time and a little sleeping time you notice quite quickly that a day has is extreme limitations. Anyway enough of this sorry for no posts stuff the flood of good news concerning my blog and the questions of the readers to resume forced me into the posting mood again.

First news is that my colleague Michael Lecuy has agreed to contribute which will help to give more qualitative content, as he's a great graphical mind he will be able to post from a whole different point of view. So welcome to the blogging world Michael and I hope you'll add more content to the blog than you predecessors have done before you (Or maybe they'll see this as a sign and post again) ;-)

Second great news is that the Be.Interactive has been added to the Junta24 top marketing blogs on position 27 which makes me really proud so thanks Joe for adding me to the list and I'll make sure that I'll bring more of this qualitative content.


Anyway from today on I'll feed you here again with the latest virtual news and actions.
