Be.Interactive talkes about every interactive idea that roams the virtual world. I find my information in other blogs, forums, rss feeds and every other existing media.
On the fwa theatre I found this great commercial for Getty Center labeled “Heads”.
Strangely enough this is just half the blog post cause on my newly installed Chrome browser it just didn’t want to play, after 2 seconds it just stopped running while it worked perfectly in IE. It seemed as if I found my first real Chrome bug until I began to search for a solution. It actually appeared to be a problem with the flash player and not the browser itself. The solution that I found was to install Flash Player 10 release candidate and uninstall the current version 9. Below you’ll find the steps that I needed to do to complete the job.
A new technology in YouTube are video Annotations, Video annotations are a new way for you to add interactive commentary onto your videos!
You control what the annotations say, where they appear on the video, and when they appear and disappear. You can even link from an annotation to another YouTube Video, Channel, or Search result.
The first good commercial use I've seen with video annotations is the new campaign for Samsung called "Follow your Instinct" next to a nice site they created a viral video campaign based on those annotations where depending on the choice you make you go into another direction in the movie.
You'll find the first one below, never the less if you want to use the annotations you'll have to go to YouTube as they don't work when integrated.
Michael Wesh an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology of the Kansas State University did a presentation that focuses on the anthropology, the behavior and the culture that YouTube is enabling. It's also the person that created the video about "Web 2.0 ... linking people" about a year ago. It's just a great video and a must see to understand what every body moves to get on YouTube and how Youtube works.
Damn the BBC is making some good stuff BBC Sport's marketing campaign and titles for the forthcoming Olympic Games are based upon the traditional Chinese folklore 'Journey to the West'... Pretty nice material.
The BBC is going to do a series around Saddam Hussein and his family, to promote it the launched the promo below. The quality of the promo is really stunning such a great work for an announcement, just judge by yourselves.
What if there were no stop signs... and a major corporation was charged with inventing one? Or another story about how we can suffer in the advertising business ... anyway great and funny stuff we live day by day by ...
After the guy that backflips into his jeans we now got the guy that fills his jeans with Helium and flies, whether it's real or not doesn't really matter but I'm sure that in a few days we will see some other guy's that try to do the same a bit like the backflip viral where you saw numerous people trying the same. I really like the home made viral where you actually don't know from who it is and where the brand isn't really everywhere ... great work from Levis.
The final movie has been release but whereas the first movie was a means to communicate the second is "only" a trigger to join the conversation and talk about the Inspiration that everybody drives in our line of business. The purpose of the site http://getinspiredhere.net/ is to drive the inspiration for different audiences, going from developers to marketing people and to really grasp and get as much idea's and possibilities in one site. Anyway I'll be following closely those RSS feeds. For now just enjoy the movie which is really again what lives in about every agency.
A new official video from a band called Weezer, normally I don't really blog about bands or music video's but this one stars many YouTube hypes of the last year so It's pretty funny.
I guess you really don't want to know how many hours of work and how many gallons of paint they had to use to create this animation but the efforts where well worth it. It's a wall-painted animation "MUTO" from an artist called BLU created on the walls from Buenos Aires.
Found this video about the future trends in advertising from Leo Burnett (London). Just some topics he's talking about in his video: Mass is back; Community Commerce; Screen Saturation; Gender Reversal; Brand Guardians; IP Idols; The Data Awareness Era; Social Networks Get Real. Next to the fact that the topics are really interesting the way he presents it all make things only better.
If you want more info about this video you can find it in the "more" section of the YouTube page.
A new plain English movie popped up today namely Twitter in Plain English, I'm a huge fan of this as it explains clearly what those things do so if somebody doesn't understand I just send them the movie and ... well it explains itself.
Today I stumbled upon a video from Nokia where they explain a concept that they are working on together with the university of Cambridge called Morph. The technology they show is nanotechnology and the use it would have in our every day life. When I saw this move I was totally bedazzled it's incredible what they show here and for sure our technological future looks more than promising.
If you can't get enough of this you can have a look at the whole story on Yahoo News. Or of course look at everything about it on the news aggregator from Google.
Yesterday Apple launched their new MacBook Air and a colleague of mine pointed me out to this great commercial.
It's an Unboxing for the MacBook Air.
Next I found this guided tour that took me trough the new features of the MacBook Air. Let's be honest although I'm not really of a Mac fan this next presentation really seems impressive. Much less impressive is the prize cause when you go to the store you immediately notice that these little things are not cheap!
I know it has been a while since his last full day at Microsoft but anyway I found this video of his keynote during CES 2008 and I think it's really funny. What I find incredible are all the known people that want to appear in the video.
Google is inviting Gmail users to imagine how an email message travels around the world and takes a creative video clip.
