Be.Interactive talkes about every interactive idea that roams the virtual world. I find my information in other blogs, forums, rss feeds and every other existing media.
This morning around 5.00 AM I got a phone call where a voice said "Hey it's already late you should really get out of bed ... bla bla" I really did not appreciate getting a wake up call at 5 AM saying the I'm running late as 5 AM is normally an hour that every working guy should still be in bed and SLEEEPING.
Anyway it seems that it's a campaign from "le coq sportif" a sporting goods brand that is called Wake Life where you can ask to call a person (friend) at any decent or indecent hour of the night. Before launching such a campaign they should really think about the effect it has! Normally you can read who send you this prank but of course my mail only said "friend" so I still don't know who woke me up. You can also amuse yourselves with waking up people you don't know.
Anyway (Maybe it's because I'm in a really bad mood) I find this campaign really bad, before launching such a thing you should think about what people will do with your action cause not all good people have good intentions ...
I've read today in the Times that Hyundai launches a new campaign called 'Think About It' to improve the image of the brand. It's a $150 million campaign so I guess it all must look really nice and at least the spots do (http://video.on.nytimes.com/?fr_story=feda8bad8f8187a589dec6b7dbae2f582b63ced9) and the visuals also look really nice but there is one thing that really stands out when you go to the site www.thinkaboutit.com (This URL is included in every possible form of communication) it just gives a big
For such a campaign it's really sad not to be ready when all the coverage starts and it does not really improve the Image (which is the purpose of the whole campaign). But anyway I'll surly have a look at the site when it is online.
UPDATE (16/09/2007)
Now that it's online I had a look and I don't find it all that impressive, It's nice but it would not have caught my attention!
I just found on Adverblog a great site for Volkswagen www.night-driving.com, the feeling this site gives is just great. Also the special way of showing the car from different viewpoints win a movie is also pretty innovating. Create your own Movie, submit your favorite night drive, there is simply too much too tell about this you just have to have a look yourself. You can already find the spot here:
Gsk did an action in Australia to raise the awareness of Asthma, I really like the promotional movie, the style of the site and the games. The only thing is that I don't know if the message comes really trough with such a site?? It's more of a fun site and not really a site where you will become aware of the dangers of the illness. But anyway have fun, I did.
Weekenddesk does a simple but nice campaign www.bongomoeder.be to promote their box for mother’s day. To win you have to guess which box the children are explaining. As you can see they are using dailymotion to upload their video's.
Heineken launched a new campaign Secret Final it's part of the new UEFA Champions League sponsorship. The surfers are invited to launch themselves to a secret location where they can watch the final of the Champions League. Personally I think it's really a stupid campaign, I really don't like it and it's quite boring. But who am I!! If you look at their previous work (ex. the nice Bond Add) I think they can do much better.
Trident Launched a new site www.tridentgum.co.uk/ nothing really special but the whole concept of the site is that it's build like a DVD and it's really well done. The movies stream very well and it's a nice experience. Once you start you want to see more. Found on: http://www.adverblog.com
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (where are the days ;-) are launching a new movie and in São Paulo they found a great way of promoting it. Next to the guerrilla action which you can see below the also made a blog http://www.estamoschegando.com.br/ (we are arriving) where you can follow all the actions they did for the launch of the movie. The idea of a guerrilla action or a commercial (see one of my previous posts about "The Couple") with the making of blog is really nice and has a real added value, you give a glance to your audience of what to expect and make them want to see the final result with a bigger chance of success for your campaign. Sloggi made a nice new campaign to promote their "Hot Summer" collection where you can create your own billboard. You are in charge of the casting, the background and then you take your picture. Nice campaign but veeeery masculine ... PS. Their normal site www.sloggi.be is also quite nice. Found on: http://www.molblog.nl/ Technorati tags: Sloggi, Viral, E-campaign
I just found a great site with great 3d/flash graphics and this all from Michelin called "The World of Michelin". The site they produced is a similar 3d environment as the board game from Get The Glass. Everything runs really smooth and is very nice looking. The part I like the most is the fact that they base the entire site on the television Add (you can have a better look in the lounge), or is it the other way around. Again here a great thing to look at. Found on: http://www.adverblog.com/archives/003024.htm
I just talked about the car brands not being able to make good sites. But here again Renault made a pretty good one to launch their new Renault Rip Curl. The best part for me is the navigation and the preload of the different items. http://www.cliobyripcurl.com/
I just found an amazing site on Adverblog, Get The Glass, it's a board game made to promote Milk in California and made by North Kingdom (a Swedish agency). Ok you need to wait for a long time to see the game but it's definitely worth it the quality of the game, the visuals all just stunning. This is really one you should check out and I hope we'll hear a lot of these guy's, I'll certainly follow them closely. Found on http://www.adverblog.com/

Next to have a great new product (just have a look at the specs, I mean integrated GPS and WLAN, isn't this great or what) they launched a cool new mini-site all around the concept of "Great Pockets". It's all very smooth and in the beginning funny but also the pure presentation of the device is also seamless. And look what happens when you don't by the Nokia N95.
A colleague/friend of mine pointed me out to this great campaign to launch the new Mini. The 80's Knight Rider / Starsky & Hutch look and feel sure brought me back. The Episodes are really nice the only downside is that they buffer a lot. Again a great campaign but let's be honest we don't expect anything less from Mini. PS. My action name is "Kerosine Vavroom", cool isn't it.
The new PSP3 has been launched in Europe by TBWA London with a viral movie and a site http://www.thisisliving.tv/. All very mysterious but we'll watch out for more evolution in the coming days.
