Hi there to all "Be.Interactive- readers"! On invitation and as being a colleague of Kris, I will from now on be contributing to his blog.
Starting from the belief that combining forces will make this blog even better ;-)

Enough small talk, let's start of with this Mercedes C-class post.

This site is definitely worth a visit during this weekend when you are just chilled and relaxed. Experience the way in which the new C-class puts you into your optimum state of mind via a series of interactive games. Every game has it's specific colour, emotion and message. I myself especially love the green one as it is a very ingenious though simple game.

A colleague of mine pointed me to the site of Information Architects Japan, they created a new version of their web trends map, again fun to look at and somehow useful if you want to check out what's hot and what's not. I surely like the weather predictions for each trend.

David Pogue from the NY-Times wrote the first review of the Iphone which you can find here. It seems that it keeps all his promises but still with some big weaknesses. The first one is that the phone comes at the moment only with an AT&T subscription, the second is that the battery is sealed in and you can only have a new one if you send it back to apple, the third one is that it doesn’t read any memory card. These are 3 big downsides of the device even though it looks real great and the way you navigate is also very nice (reminds me of another product called Microsoft Surface).
But judge for yourself.

The Cannes Cyber Lions are out of the door. One of the winners of the Grand Prix specially caught my attention, it was the Heidies campaign for Diesel as I blogged earlier about it an thought than it was a real good campaign so it's well deserved. Another well deserved but more obvious one was the campaign for Dove.

The Get The Glass campaign was also one of my favorites the last year and the also performed really well as they got Gold. But every interactive campaign Gold, Silver, Bronze or Grand Prix really worth a look they are all pieces of art and each and every one of them well deserved.

Bavaria launched a new site this week called The Beertour/, and what a site. It's really some nice work, if you don't know you're in a site for a beer brand it looks like you're in a game site, graphically everything looks so good it's incredible.

I found a Web agency with some superb work one of them was a site for the Ford Flex this site specially stroke me as I wrote something some days ago about the new spot of Renault without any presence on the web, well you see in the states they definitely look at it the other way. Now the name of the agency well it's BIG SPACESHIP from Brooklyn, NY. Their work is really worth a look. You'll also find the site for Nike Air Max and this is one of them.

I really got a strange thing and I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem but every time I click on the banner at the bottom of my Windows Live Messenger I get ..... Nothing. Today again I wanted to see the Colgate campaign and the only thing I got was a url that looked like this http://ad.be.doubleclick.net/click%3Bh=v8/357c/3/0/%2a/n%3B111500354%3B0-0%3B0%3B17541700%3B4-234/60%3B21401418/21419308/1%3B%3B~sscs%3D%3fhttp://nl.colgatemaxfresh.be/ and a site that was not really showing. Sure when I look at the url I see that I have to delete the whole first part and just leave the http://nl.colgatemaxfresh.be part but that should not really be normal I guess!!! It's not the first time I got this problem so I find it strange that nobody does anything about it or am I really the only one and do I nag about nothing?????

ATG - För hästen ger hallt, I don't know when the site is build nor for what but I just noticed it some days ago and I really think it's a great site the way they integrated the movie and the quality of the streaming is really superb, again great work from the Swedish agency North Kingdom.

Renault has really nice commercials as the one you'll see below but why don't they ever create anything on the web. With such an add you could have made such a nice campaign but nothing. Even on their homepage you don't find anything!!

BMW launched a new advergame called "a perfect drive" the game is nicely done an developed by a company called Little Chicken Game Company. The game is not only nice but the cool thing about is that you can race against your friends and build your own tracks.Now if we look at the site of the company who has build the site we find other nice things like liptondiscgolf, again a company to watch closely.

Blokken is a show on the Belgian TV where the contesters have to answer questions and play a Tetris like game. They asked a company to make trailers for the show and they came up with the following trailers. I think they are really great but sadly enough we will never see them on television, too controversial. They also remind you about the photography’s of Jill Greenberg which were also controversial. But I definitely find they are really good.

Marc Bresseel talked yesterday about a now project of the Microsoft Live Labs and of course I had to check that one out right away. He talked about Photosynth and a tool that links the images to each other doesn’t seem that innovating well it’s difficult to explain so I guess you’ll have to have a look for yourself, It’s really worth it.

I must say that I found that the congress was a big success the afternoon was really great. It all started with Tara Moss (Head of Communications Strategy, Isobar UK) who came instead of Nigel Morris she gave a great presentation and captivated the whole audience. After that we had Martin Buckley who talked about one of my favorite cases the past year, Impossible is nothing from Adidas (too bad he had some technical problems). The closing sessions from Bart Becks, Marc Bresseel and Javier Rodriguez where for me the best presentations of the whole day I really would have liked to hear some more of these guy’s as their insights and view about the media are really innovating and captivating. It seems that we'll see a some interviews and videos of the event tomorrow on Digimedia comming from Robin Wouters, looking forward to it. Anyway next year it's in Germany I hope I'll see you all their cause it was definitely worth it.

The first part of the congress is just over and for me the best presentation was the one from Jaap Favier. I also liked the Incredible India presentation it gave an overview of how things are done in India, how an interactive campaign is started and the means they use to complete their goals. But most of all I really want to have the power point presentation of Jaap Favier. That's about it for this morning.

I just enjoyed a session about corporate blogging at the IAB europe congress. The most interesting speakers where Kris Hoet (Marketing manager at Microsoft, Blogger “Cross The Breeze”) and Mauro Lupi (CEO of Ad Maiora). There was a nice interaction between the audience and the panel and some interesting points like advertising on blogs where covered. Not that there are clear answers but anyway we got some guidelines to go with. One of the most interesting new links for me was the WOMMA (word of mouth marketing association) where you can find interesting articles like the ethical blogger contact guidelines. Another thing which was nice to hear is that other people read my blog (actually I knew that already but it’s a figure of speech). Kris Hoet told a story about a guy that found Google maps in a Microsoft campaign, everybody that follows what I write knows that it was one of my posts some time ago. Nice to hear that what I post it can become a case!!

At the moment everybody is talking about Microsoft Surface, for sure it looks really impressive and the things you are able to do with it are rather incredible but still for me the combination between a coffee table and a high end computer system still seem strange. Really I wouldn’t buy something that expensive to put my coffee cup or beer on, but still as I said it looks nice. If I would get it for free I would be more than happy to test it all and I don’t think my daughter will give me one for father’s day It would be to heavy anyway ;-)
