Be.Interactive talkes about every interactive idea that roams the virtual world. I find my information in other blogs, forums, rss feeds and every other existing media.
A Dutch agency created a site to explain the way Schiphol is functioning and the way they did it is just pure art. The site is well made both from a visual point of view (The way they use 3D is just .... don't have any word for it) as from a pure content point of view. After you have a look at the site it all becomes so clear why airports are so important from every point of view. Such a project would be great for our national airport Brussels Airport too cause they both have the same problems I guess. Here in Belgium the people living around it are also making a big fuss, so maybe explaining them trough such a media could inform them a little bit better about the importance.
Axe created a new viral for their Vice product, it's funny and totally into the axe style. if you have some time you definitely have to watch it. It's a 5 minute documentary about the "Naughty 2 Nice" penitentiary program where Axe tries to reconvert the Women who became Naughty due to the Axe Vice smell!
This morning around 5.00 AM I got a phone call where a voice said "Hey it's already late you should really get out of bed ... bla bla" I really did not appreciate getting a wake up call at 5 AM saying the I'm running late as 5 AM is normally an hour that every working guy should still be in bed and SLEEEPING.
Anyway it seems that it's a campaign from "le coq sportif" a sporting goods brand that is called Wake Life where you can ask to call a person (friend) at any decent or indecent hour of the night. Before launching such a campaign they should really think about the effect it has! Normally you can read who send you this prank but of course my mail only said "friend" so I still don't know who woke me up. You can also amuse yourselves with waking up people you don't know.
Anyway (Maybe it's because I'm in a really bad mood) I find this campaign really bad, before launching such a thing you should think about what people will do with your action cause not all good people have good intentions ...
Lately I've seen recruitment about everywhere on the net going from Second Life, Blogs, Sites, podcasts, ... But it's the first time I see recruitment in a Banner. It's so simple but well thought. One wrong answer and you're out, the one that can respond correct to all questions can give the URL to his portfolio.
I've read today in the Times that Hyundai launches a new campaign called 'Think About It' to improve the image of the brand. It's a $150 million campaign so I guess it all must look really nice and at least the spots do (http://video.on.nytimes.com/?fr_story=feda8bad8f8187a589dec6b7dbae2f582b63ced9) and the visuals also look really nice but there is one thing that really stands out when you go to the site www.thinkaboutit.com (This URL is included in every possible form of communication) it just gives a big
For such a campaign it's really sad not to be ready when all the coverage starts and it does not really improve the Image (which is the purpose of the whole campaign). But anyway I'll surly have a look at the site when it is online.
UPDATE (16/09/2007)
Now that it's online I had a look and I don't find it all that impressive, It's nice but it would not have caught my attention!
Today I saw on DutchCowboys that Microsoft released in Beta their new Live suite and there where 2 programs that really interested me. One was the new version of windows live messenger which is really nice cause now I can share very easily files with my other contacts. I didn't play much around with it so maybe I'll find some other stuff later on. But the other program was Windows Live Writer and this program was really one I had to try immediately. So this is my first post with "Windows Live Writer" I must say it all looks very easy to use and I really like it "At the moment". I guess I'll test some more the coming days and I'll write a full review of it later on.
Today I found on the Viral Video chart the explanation of an Easter egg in Google Earth well an Easter egg is really an understatement it’s more like a whole basket. If you download the latest version of Google Earth and enter Ctrl+Alt+A believe it or not you will be in the middle of a flight simulator. You can select a little plane or a F16, select an airport and after that you can fly over the Google earth maps. It’s really incredible to hide such a big thing in a program. Just try it and enjoy. Today a colleague of mine pointed me out to the history of the word spam. Strangely enough I didn't knew where the word spam came from. Well the word spam came from and I quote Wikipedia 'It is widely believed the term spam is derived from the Monty Python SPAM sketch, set in a cafe where nearly every item on the menu includes SPAM luncheon meat. As the server recites the SPAM-filled menu, a chorus of Viking patrons drowns out all conversations with a song repeating "SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM... lovely SPAM, wonderful SPAM", hence "SPAMming" the dialogue. The excessive amount of SPAM mentioned in the sketch is a reference to British rationing during World War II. SPAM was one of the few meat products that avoided rationing, and hence widely available'. And now the even more fun part, the actual Monthy Pyton sketch.
I just found a great commercial created for Dairy Milk this is a brand of chocolate bar made by Cadbury. The bar is popular both in the United Kingdom and around the world. Well just have a look and enjoy.
