The new commercial for the Sony Bravia finally arrived, after the balls and the paint we now have the Play-Doh rabbits. Just have a look and enjoy. But remember, it took: 2.5 tones of plasticine on set, 40 animators, 189 2 ft bunnies 150 1 ft cubes, 10ft x20 ft purple wave, 30ft giant rabbit, 6 cameras, 40 animators working through 4 hours generated 4 seconds of footage, 40 animators working on the same scene had never been attempted before, The 60 second spot will be constructed of approximately 100,000 stills.
Following on from the recent Bravia 'Play-Doh' ad, Sony has designed a new moving animation screensaver of their Play-Doh bunnies available for download onto your mobile phone via the following URL.
Today I received a nice mail from the people of immediate future Ltdwhich told me that I could find a teaser for the new commercial of the Sony Bravia, the Play Doh commercial (which is really great PR work). just have a look, it all seems very impressive. Only one little point, why don't they communicate anything on their blog or twitter it really seems to be a problem, like communicated in my previous posts!!!!
But still I'm really looking forward to see the final spot.
Strangely enough a new Sony Bravia commercial just popped up, out of nowhere and this when the Play-Doh commercial is still a hot topic (Good or Bad). To my opinion it's a better one than Play-Doh and this without any buzz around it or anything else. Really strange and I hope to find some more information about it.
UPDATE: I got the information from Zaireen (immediate future Ltd) and apparently this spot is made for the Sony Asia.
Sony is working at a new commercial for their Bravia, after their previous work everybody sure has some high expectations and everybody is very curious to see what's coming. You can follow the evolution of the Commercial on different platforms first of all they created a site www.bravia-advert.com where you can see some pictures, you have an rss feed that I hope they will keep up to date and one of the employees is twittering about it. So I guess they didn't miss their start to create a buzz before the Commercial is launched.
For those who don't remember the previous commercials, here they are:
Some interesting figures about the new Sony Bravia commercial 2.5 tones of plasticine on set 40 animators 3 weeks 189 2 ft bunnies 150 1 ft cubes 10ft x20 ft purple wave 30ft giant rabbit. 6 cameras. 40 animators working through 4 hours generated 4 seconds of footage. 40 animators working on the same scene had never been attempted before. The 60 second spot will be constructed of approximately 100,000 stills. If I look at these numbers I'm defenetly very curious to see the result. Technorati tags: Sony, Bravia, commercial, Play-Doh
Sony did shoot its latest ad for its Digital Imaging range (Alpha, Cybershot and Handycam) on Sunday 9th March 2008. The advert, which will be shot in Miami by creative agency Fallon (the creative team behind the recent Sony Bravia ad Series, Balls, Paint and Play-doh), will show various scenarios in which adults and children play in foam bubbles around the city.
You can find the first teaser on YouTube.
It all looks very promising and I'm looking forward to see the final result.
Earlier I made a post about the shooting of the new Sony Bravia Commercial in that post my main concern is that they wouldn't be able to follow with all their communication platforms they use to talk about the creation of the new commercial. Guess what, the Twitter hasn't changed since August 07. The RSS feed hasn't changed since the first announcement on July 30th, the only thing that has slightly changed is the site as you can now download some images. It’s too bad to do such a good start and afterwards just let it all drown. Anyway I'm still really curious to see the new commercial.
