Today is blogday so I have to come up with 5 blogs that have nothing to do with the e-marketing subject I'm used to talk about so I guess I’ll create a post about the other passions in my life.
The first passion is defenetly my kids which I adore so I had a look and tried to find some Belgian blogs that talk about baby’s or kids younger than 3 years. At first I was disappointed cause I did not find any Belgian blog talking about this topic, naturally a Dutch blog that was a whole other story. So here is my favorite one:
http://kinderspul.blog.nl/kleuters
Another passion of mine is photography, although I don’t have enough time to practice it as I would like to be able to. Here are some blogs I like to follow from time to time:
http://weblog.zoom.nl, The Blog from the best Dutch photography magazine.
http://www.bryanstoner.com,It does not really look like a blog but is one and with some great pictures.
http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/, As I’m a starter this is really a valuable blog for me.
The last passion of mine is cooking and here is the blog I like to visit when I’ve no idea what to cook:
http://www.101cookbooks.com/
These are my 5 blogs that are really worthwhile and have really nothing to do with e-marketing, have fun visiting them.

Some interesting figures about the new Sony Bravia commercial
2.5 tones of plasticine on set
40 animators
3 weeks
189 2 ft bunnies
150 1 ft cubes
10ft x20 ft purple wave
30ft giant rabbit.
6 cameras.
40 animators working through 4 hours generated 4 seconds of footage.
40 animators working on the same scene had never been attempted before.
The 60 second spot will be constructed of approximately 100,000 stills.
If I look at these numbers I'm defenetly very curious to see the result.

Nowadays in Belgium you can’t possibly look next to the campaign from Ford for their fiesta it’s all around, the advergame is called "Make me sweat" in Dutch “doe me zweten”. The idea is well found you got a guy in a Sauna and you have to make him sweat by giving him lots of commands. The problem from my part is that I quickly got bored so it’s really a nice game but when you ask something it takes far too much time and most of the actions he does are not really that funny that you stick to it. Anyway I never got to the 300 but when you look at the high scores some other surfers did but I wonder if they where actual scores and not hackers cause getting over 300 in 21 seconds seems in this game absolutely impossible. This flaw emphases the need that when you create a game the security is really important! Actually that will be a real challenge for us when we create our next advergame.

So we did our first Carlsberg action and it's a funny one, in Nivelles a Belgian town, some guys of a Bar decided to recreate their bar in Beer Crates and it's also a World Record attempt as it's the first house build in beer crates, of course Carlsberg Beer Crates. So we supported the action trough a nice site www.thecarlsberghouse.be, with a live cam, some video's of the actual work and an invitation to the first 100 inscriptions for an open bar.
Here you can see the start of the work to create the House.

I've been playing around with Google earth and I was really impressed by some new features. I guess by now you've all eared about it but the new Sky option is just so impressive, at starts you think, mmmmm nothing really impressive but once you start to zoom in it's just so impressive.
It has also been a while since I last used Google earth but the way they integrated the pictures from Panoramio and integrated the Wikipedia articles is just also great.

I just found on Adverblog a great site for Volkswagen www.night-driving.com, the feeling this site gives is just great. Also the special way of showing the car from different viewpoints win a movie is also pretty innovating. Create your own Movie, submit your favorite night drive, there is simply too much too tell about this you just have to have a look yourself.
You can already find the spot here:

In Belgium Combell a hosting company will provide a new service namely to Rent software through the internet. Combell made a deal with Microsoft to be able to give this service to his clients. At the moment it will only be the Office suite but other programs will shortly be added to the list. For a fee a month you will be able to use the latest office programs the only thing you need is a broadband access to the net. Will this be the future of the net I guess only time will tell.

Sony Launched a new game for their PS3 called Heavenly Sword, they also naturally launched a new site to promote the game. The graphics of this site are so good it's definitely worth to have look. They also have put 4 episodes of the animation series online and if you like the style, just go and watch them, you won't be sorry.
I took the soapbox version of the trailer and couldn't include one of the episodes cause I can't get rid of the autoplay on the official versions even though they included a possibility to post it on blogs!!

Earlier I made a post about the shooting of the new Sony Bravia Commercial in that post my main concern is that they wouldn't be able to follow with all their communication platforms they use to talk about the creation of the new commercial. Guess what, the Twitter hasn't changed since August 07. The RSS feed hasn't changed since the first announcement on July 30th, the only thing that has slightly changed is the site as you can now download some images. It’s too bad to do such a good start and afterwards just let it all drown. Anyway I'm still really curious to see the new commercial.

Tuesday I had to go to a new client of mine namely Cisco UK at starts everything went well, my company booked a seat on a British Airways, I got up rather early (5.30) to get my plane at 7.25. So to go to Cisco no problem at all, I had a great meeting there with some really nice people and at 16.00 hours I got into the Cab to go to Heathrow again. Nothing wrong up till now, The first plane that I had to catch to be home around 20.00 hours had technical problems so we got a voucher of 5 pounds to eat a sandwich (I can tell you that airport sandwiches are NOT good) and a ticket for the next plane at 20.15 (time I normally should have been home). I waited till 20.15 but there again they told us that there was a delay due to shortage in the cabin crew. Again a delay of about an hour!! Finally when we got on the plane and we were ready to go another delay of an hour due to thunder storms over the sea. The point of this story is that I will never take a plane anymore to go to the UK, I’ll rather take the Eurostar cause being away for about 20 hours to do a meeting of 5 hours is not really efficient.
I couldn't go around it today, so here is my tribute to the King.

Another one that I found on the Viral Video Chart it's just fun to look at. It's created by The Lichtfaktor crew.
Plain and simple question what's the Web 3.0 according to Google.

In the for dummies section (see previous post), Common Craft launched a new explanation, one for Social Bookmarking. It's really fun, so if you got some spare time I really encourage you to watch it.

I found this great new commercial on Adfreak from Jeep and my thoughts where exactly the same as on Adfreak, Damn I don't want to pay for all the licenses of the footage used in this commercial. But anyway it looks really good.

Sony is working at a new commercial for their Bravia, after their previous work everybody sure has some high expectations and everybody is very curious to see what's coming. You can follow the evolution of the Commercial on different platforms first of all they created a site www.bravia-advert.com where you can see some pictures, you have an rss feed that I hope they will keep up to date and one of the employees is twittering about it. So I guess they didn't miss their start to create a buzz before the Commercial is launched.
For those who don't remember the previous commercials, here they are:

This has nothing to do with Marketing but this anime looks so good that I just had to share it on the blog. I found it on the Viral Video Chart.
-- Update --
It seems that on Youtube and on Dailymotion the movie has been removed (At the moment I don't know why) so here is the Ifilm version.
A Gentleman's Duel
This is a piece of art from Blur Studio.

While I was looking on Soapbox to find the Video for my previous post (which I found immediately) I found a great new commercial also from Smirnoff.

Smirnoff launched a new product in the US and for their launch they did a West Coast VS East Coast Rap. Great stuff and also a great site. The first video for the East Coast had 3,365,611 and that's not bad at all, looking forward to see the results of the West Coast Rap.

PS. Apparently at the moment of this post YouTube seems to be down so I included the video from Soapbox !!
Discovery Channel launched a new game called Sharkrunner, at first sight nothing really special as the purpose of the game is to spot sharks with a boat and you can provide the route for the boat. As you see nothing special the really cool thing about it is that all the sharks on the map are REAL, they are all driven trough a GPS system to position them on the map. For me that's the best Interaction between the real and the virtual world I've ever seen and I hope to see some more of this.

Just had to show this viral as Cisco is at the moment with about 3 simultaneous projects my biggest client. I think it’s a great viral to promote such a product.
